BEHAVIORAL THERAPIES
The addiction treatment programs offered at our day-treatment and outpatient rehab center in Massachusetts utilize several different types of behavioral therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), contingency management, 12-step facilitation therapy, and family behavior therapy. Each of these behavioral therapies works to modify the attitudes and behaviors surrounding your addiction and improve your ability to handle stressful situations that may trigger relapse. Within your process group, and individual sessions, your clinical counselor will use a combination of these therapeutic practices to address your substance abuse.
FAMILY PROGRAMS
Addiction not only effects the individual seeking a day treatment drug rehab in Massachusetts, but effects the entire family and family dynamic. Often, this leads the family to feelings of helpless, guilt and confusion. These changes in the family dynamics can develop into resentment and enabling behavior.
THE 12-STEPS
The clinical team at our day-treatment and outpatient drug rehab in Massachusetts encourage client participation in a 12-step program. In working through each of the 12 steps with your peers, you’ll become a part of a community in which everyone can feel safe and heard while learning a new way of living and growing spiritually and emotionally. During this program, you’ll also learn how to evaluate yourself honestly and commit to lasting change that will transform your life.

FITNESS IN RECOVERY
Physical health plays a very important role in your drug and alcohol recovery. Research studies have shown that a healthy exercise and fitness routine can help rebuild and strengthen the nervous system, even after years of damaging substance abuse. Throughout your program at our day treatment and outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center, you will be encouraged to develop a daily exercise routine that matches your needs and skill level. Consistent participation in this routine will help improve your mood, sleep, and quality of life as you simultaneously work to heal your body, mind, and soul.

“Scott & Merit are filled with sage advice. Kevin and Anne Ellen are wonderful teachers. They led the IOP Groups. In IOP I learned many skills. I was taught how to identify triggers and ways to work through cravings. I learned how the brain and body change during addiction. They also taught me important life skills such as listening to others, setting boundaries self-care, emotional care, and learning how to deal with emotions in a healthy manner.
The curriculum was varied and interesting. Group discussions, videos, handouts, music therapy, art therapy, meditation, and Yoga.”
“In IOP I learned many life lessons. Anger management, setting boundaries, triggers, impulse control and how to identify and deal with emotions. To name a few. We also learned how various substances affect the brain and body. Art and music therapy was a fun way to learn more about ourselves. I found IOP to be an important piece of my recovery.”
